Wed 4 – Acoustic Jam Type Affair. Set your acoustic guitars to
maximum plectrumosity and let rip, guys !
Thu 5 – Little Black Number. Smart of tie and cracking of song the ‘Numbers roll
out their rock with all the enthusiasm that youth can bring.
Sat 7 – The Heys. Back after what seems like a blinking long time, the ‘Heys
have the catchy chorus knack, the foot tappin' grooves and the casual stage
presence of a fantastic band. Plus a new album on the way. Recommended.
Tue 10 – Popular Music Quiz. How many faces on the cover of Sgt. Peppers, who
were Abba singing about on Fernando and which special turning did Napalm Death
use on Scum !??? None of these questions, regrettably, will appear……..
Wed 11 – Xerox Pig. More craziness and high jinx from these Somerset er……entertainers.
You just never know what’ll happen next, so keep watching!?? Featuring a Special
guest appearance by our own bassmeister Stew 'stewblack' Black.
Thu 12 – Black Rats. Spilling cider is just one of the many tricks these rascals
get up to whilst laying down some groovy, boogie, rock and roll.
Sat 14 – From Mars. Yep, it’s spelt like that ! A sonic assault of the best
kind, the F.M. will rattle yer bones as this Newport combo slash and burn
through some burnin pop and roll !
Thu 19 – White Trash Ambition. Curving through a kaleidoscope of colours the
W.T.A. don’t muck about but cut through with their excellent aural attack and
arresting stage personas ! Which almost sounds like I know what I’m talking
about !
Sat 21 – Valdez + Goatorcycle. Getting set for another U.S.A. of America type
tour, the ‘Dez brothers warm up in a place they call home. Oh, and down the Bar.
With them are the mighty G.cycle whose filthy hardcore might upset your Gran.
Wed 25 – A Neat Science + Crescent Shoreline. The Scientists produce full tilt
or not so full tilt rock with some pleasantly melodious undertones. The same can
be said about the Shoreline who add some interesting time signatures to boost
their indie sound.
Thu 26 – Pocket Shotgun. A bit louder than your rice crispies I reckon, but this
lot really do have a snap, crackle and pop to their set. Add to this a good line
in stage banter, and it’s another cracking evening.
Sat 28 – Southpaw Jinx + The Devilriders + Shocks of Mighty on Mardi Gras Day.
Wow, come on down in the afternoon and catch the reggae in the garden with the
S.O.M. dubbin’ and a toastin’ the lazy day away.
Then, in the evening, rock out as the metal mayhem of our Plymouth brethren,
that are the Jinx, blow you away. In between catch the D.Rs and their scorching
rock and roll circus in full flight. It’s crazy, man, I’ll tell ya !
